A flawless 5-under 67 propels him up to solo 2nd, 2 back of the leader and 7 shots up on the current mark needed to earn a tour card. The medalist does gain full exemption on tour (everyone else subject to a reshuffle after 4 events), so there is additional incentive to win.

Reunion Resort has played tough in prior years and thus far this year, so to go 18 bogey free is really impressive. To put into perspective, there have been 264 rounds of golf played over two days and Cone has the only bogey-free round. Just some impressive golf today.

Scott Vincent had his own solid 1-over to keep himself right at the T16 mark. Rebounded well after a shaky 4-over on his front 9 to make 3 birdies coming back in.
